Spring Cleaning! 2025

[1] Artists, designers, makers, creatives, people with a studio practise who own a lot of tools, materials, collected matter, objects, media and references for creative purposes that they would like to onsell cheaply to keep the creative circular economy alive and well.

  • Dates are to be confirmed for late 2025 (September/October)

    Location will be somewhere in Sydney!

  • Spring Cleaning! is a one day market event focused on circular economy, reusability and tangible creative practice.

  • Artists, Designers, Creatives, Makers, Crafters (Who have a studio practice and/or who have physical resources to onsell) 

    Spring Cleaners are asked to clear out their studios, archives and toolboxes for objects, tools and materials that pertain to creative practice but aren’t being loved anymore. 

    Bring these along to your stall and sell them for any price less than and including $20.00AUD. (A recommended price list will be provided at a later date)

    All table holders will be allocated 1 x standard 6ft trestle to stock items on. Tabling cost are expected to be around $20-25 

  • This is a free event, so anyone can attend! Attendees can be Artists, Designers, Creatives, Makers, Crafters, Parents of creative kids (Who want to buy affordable resources and supplies) or anyone simply interested in snapping up a good deal on a cool item.

    Masking will be encouraged but not enforced. Free masks will be provided to all attendees.

  • Art supplies & Tools (these can be half used!) 

    • Paper & Notebooks

    • Pens, pencils, paints, inks

    • Rulers & other tools

    • Paper or fabric cutting scissors 

    Deadstock items

    • Stickers, zines, prints, posters, 

    • keychains and other small objects 

    Art Making Collectibles 

    • Paper, postcards

    • Old/vintage/historic tools & brushes etc. 

    Art Reference Collectibles 

    • Physical media, toys, and games for the purpose of cultural and creative referencing 

    • Books & Physical media on art, design, creativity, culture etc. 

    Small complete electronics and hardware

    • Label maker

    • Hard drives & USB’s

    • Film cameras

    Household items that can be repurposed for a studio setting

    • Trinket trays & storage containers

    • Some crockery & glassware

    • Small furniture (like a low shelf) that can be easily transported and picked up by one person

    • New or 2nd hand clothing/fashion items (with the exception of work apparel/Personal Protective Equipment eg. Apron for painting or latex gloves) 

    • New merchandise or products you have recently produced

    • Chemicals or cleaning products (such as mineral turpentine) 

    • Professional grade paints , inks or pigments that contain toxic pigment traces (eg. cadmium or lead)  

    • Large or incomplete electronics and hardware (eg. printers, loose cables) 

    • Open sided knives or blades (eg. xacto knives/box cutters) (with the exception of sewing/paper cutting scissors) 

    • Any media or that includes hate speech, discrimination etc. 

    • Junk or household items not suitable for use in a studio environment (eg. a dinner set)

    • Large furniture that can’t be easily transported, safely picked up by one person or repurposed (eg. a couch)

    • Live animals, food, drinks, plant products or organic materials (eg. soil, bones, insects) 

    • Anything you can’t price for $20.00 or less
